Apple Partners with Anthropic on AI-Powered "Vibe-Coding" Platform for Xcode

On May 2, Reuters reported that Apple is collaborating with Amazon-backed Anthropic on a new AI-powered "vibe-coding" platform, according to Bloomberg News. This platform, an upgraded version of Apple's Xcode, integrates Anthropic's Claude Sonnet AI model to write, edit, and test code for programmers. "Vibe coding" involves AI agents generating code, a trend gaining traction in the AI field. Anthropic declined to comment, and Apple did not immediately respond to Reuters. Apple plans to use the software internally and has not decided on a public release.
